Tony Phan
Artist Bio
Tony,
Tony has been an artist for as long as he can remember, drawing cartoons from Pokémon, Digimon, and especially Dragon Ball Z. Initially aspiring to be a filmmaker and graphic designer, he pursued a Bachelor of Design (Visual Communications) at the University of South Australia. During his studies, he found himself sketching banners and other imagery for a project that strongly resembled tattoo designs. That moment sparked his passion for tattoo art and eventually led him to tattooing.
In 2017, Tony began working at a tattoo shop, experimenting with various styles—from fine-line work to bold traditional tattoos. After eight years, he felt it was time for a new chapter. As of 2025, Tony has joined Birds of Prey, where he aims to grow further, refining his skills, knowledge, and artistry.
His primary styles include black and grey Japanese, Oriental, and realism, drawing inspiration from renowned artists like Tony Hu, Tristen Zhang, Cang Long, and many more.
With his initial aspiration of becoming a filmmaker, Tony's hobbies extend beyond drawing to include filming and video editing. In his spare time, he occasionally plays video games and enjoys watching TV shows and movies.
Tony is excited to share his work and showcase his art on a global scale. Don’t hesitate to reach out for tattoo inquiries and start bringing your ideas to life!
